I have only had the softener for a month so it is too soon to know if the performance will hold up. So far the water seems better and definitely less calcium and lime scale. The display is easy to read and informative.

This softener doesn't recharge at all. I have to recharge it manually every 5 days or so. Also, the control panel broke after 1 month of use. I'll be buying a different brand going forward.

I replaced my old Kenmore softener with the GE GXSF30V 02.
Installation and setup were easy and the unit is working great!
The softener runs very quietly and fits perfectly where the old one stood.
Very happy with my purchase and I have never had a bad experience with GE products.
My new softener sits right beside my GE washer and dryer.

Easy to install and operate. It is smaller than the old softener by about 1-2 inches. While you can install it yourself, I chose to have my plumber install it, because dealing with water, power or gas, requires an expert.

This is a good water softener for the price. I had the same model in my house that only lasted about 4 years, but for the price, it's hard to beat. It softens water perfectly!

My new water softener malfunction the first time it cycled.It was stuck in high pressure rinse for 3 hours.i was able to get it going again,worked good for 3-4 cycles.same malfunction,stuck in high pressure rinse for hours.

Took a couple days to feel a difference in the water but seems consistent now. Interesting that the remaining days drops but the salt level hasn't really changed. Guess its more efficient than i expected.

just received this water softener, 2/26/2021 is my install date, did what i was supposed to do, added water to tank filled with salt, plugged unit in, nothing, set the screen, punched for regenerate and held, started flashing but did not make a sound, then error call for repair, have rebooted it, and worked with it for 3 hours, it will not operate

Quiet when recharges, easy to set up, and use. Takes about 4 bags of 44lb salt to fill up; seldom need to refill salt levels as it tells you how many estimated days until empty.

So far so good. I particularly liked the fact the inlet/outlet piping was an exact match for the plumbing on the old Kenmore that this replaced. The result was zero plumbing modification which was great.

I have tried to set up the machine and set the machine to recharge and an error code showed up. Read the manual in order to rid the machine of the error code. Set it again, the machine started to recharge which was over two hours and again an error code. I looked in the tank area and found it full of water at the level of three and all the salt that I added was used up and some is in the water. I need assistance in order to set this machine up and get my plumbing appliances cleaned of the iron deposit. Currently, the machine is unplugged and not in use. I cannot have the machine continuously running in the recharge mode.

I picked this model water softener based upon its four-star review. This first GXSF30V lasted almost three years to the day before it failed. I am trying again based upon the reviews and trust that the first failure was a fluke. Before it failed, the water softener did a great job reducing the hardness of our city water. You could feel the difference in the shower, and just like advertised, you use less soap, shampoo and cleaning detergents. There was much less scale build up in the dishwasher, shower head, and on the drip tray of the refrigerator water dispenser. The water softener was a snap to install the second one because all the plumbing was in place. Very good instructions were provided. Set up of the electronic control module is easy as well.

Easy to install as the directions were clear, direct and orderly. Compact unit that is visually clean and good looking. Setting the programmable items was also simple. This allows the use of Potassium and also mentions an allowance to handle iron content. Not extra featured but the features were all we needed.
