We purchased all Bosch appliances for our 2019 kitchen remodel. We are already having problems with our microwave oven. Bad sparking, a worn turntable wheel and a broken gear. Shoddy quality and not a good experience.

This product has worked well - until a couple of days ago when it completely died. The screen is completely blank and none of the buttons work. I bought a complete suite of Bosch products for my kitchen remodel and paid the premium with the expectation the product would perform well and be reliable for many years......NOT 3!!! After reading the other reviews it appears this catastrophic failure is quite common. So disappointing.

We have had ours for almost 4 years and the same 2 parts have been replaced 4 times (at our expense) Three times by the dealer and once by Bosch. We now are replacing the appliance and cannot get Bosch to respond or help with replacement as obviously this was faulty from the beginning.

We had this microwave installed in 2019 after the prior Bosch model also stopped working. This new oven quit working for us 2 months ago, needs 6 new parts (1 of which is still on back order with no estimated arrival time) and will cost us $650 to repair. Between this and the prior oven that we replaced we have had to spend an extra $1000 on this oven. The technician said they continue to have problems with these ovens. Our entire kitchen is Bosch applicances, but I would not do that again. Do not buy.

This is not a good product. The quality is poor -- especially for the price. I do not recommend it. The display is to bright. Repairman are afraid of it and it is heavy and bulky to even try and repair.

The Bosch 800 series Speed Oven is everything they claimed. I've microwaved on several levels and used the convection Oven. Because it's mounted above the Bosch Oven I wish it had a side open door and a brighter display light.

I finished remodeling my kitchen several months ago and purchased alll Bosch appliances. Bosch came highly recommended by a family member and were they ever correct. Not only is the Speed Oven beautifully sleek, like my other Bosch appliances, but, most importantly, easy to use. I highly recommend Bosch 800 Series Speed Oven.

We had sparks in it and called Bosch. They sent out a repair person from a local company - took them months and several reschedules to finally get the parts and try to fix it. It didn't last for more than a few weeks before it went bad. Customer service was horrible and was making me jump through all kinds of hoops to have someone look at it. Finally got another technician to come out...after spending hours on it - the fuses blew again upon second use. Technician just refunded me the labor costs as they obviously don't want to deal with Bosch (and it seems a number of other customers have come to the same conclusion). So now we are looking to replace this and will be avoiding Bosch entirely in the future.

The Bosch 800 Series Speed Oven is the 2nd oven we have purchased. We love this oven. We had one at our previous home and now we have one at our new home. We are very happy to have it since it took over 1 year to receive it since ordering it.

Loving the speed oven. Baked potatoes come out fluffy and done so quickly. Grilling beggies with broil mode awesome. Frozen pizza with added toppings who needs take out. Grilling sandwiches done in 8 min with no butter and they bread has a good crunch. Also can be a second oven or warming drawer. Very happy with this appliance.

Primarily use as a microwave and sometimes as a small oven when using full size oven simultaneously. Looks great and works great so far. Chime is a little quiet but no complaints on functionality. Used in kitchedn remodel when we replaced a double oven and microwave that was prveiously over the cooktop with a built in oveen and this combo microwave and oven. Saved space and looks great.

We purchased all new Bosch kitchen appliances. Oven, micro, dishwasher, etc. As many folks have shared, the panel went dim right after it went out of warranty. The hinges then broke - out of warranty. Now it is loud and I suspect will die. Bosch will not sell a new contorl panel so I have a contorl panel that I can't read, etc.
This unit is stacked about my Bosch oven. So, I either replace both and walk away from Bosch for life or ???? I sure wish Bosch cared enough to do something about this. I loved it when it functioned.
Hate the end result here though. Very, very dissapointing.

I want to like this so much, but after all of my issues, I just can't anymore. Sensor reheat destroyed a dish. Stopped chiming when the timer finished. The fan continues to run after the cooking is finished (maybe it's supposed to). Finally, the display and buttons just stopped working entirely. I, of course, am out of luck because it came with the house I just bought.

We thought Bosch was The Best when we bought our combination Oven/MicrowaveConvention Oven in 2016 for $3,700. After only 2 years, the MicrowaveConvention Oven stopped working. We spent almost $800 in repairs before it was determined that it needed to be replaced. Bosch replaced it in 2018 but we were charged $316.47 as a prorated amount. The new one lasted 3 years before it stopped working and Bosch sent their repairman 3 times to make repairs after us having to wait a long time for each visit. It was last repaired in December 2021 and it's broken again. Bosch couldn't send anyone for 3 weeks so we contacted Mr. Appliance. They came the next day and said there were burnt wires in the door switches and a fuse is bad. Plus there is a burnt wire in the magnetron thermostat. The cost to repair is $365.00. So now we have spent over $1,000 on two Bosch products that should last longer than three years. We will never buy a Bosch product again and we will certainly be telling our family and friends about our experiences with Bosch.

This microwave is a big disappointment. We spent $2000 and it did t even last for 2 years. Our microwave no longer heats anything and it's been difficult to find anyone to even service it. Very sad knowing that we have 4 other Bosch appliances that we bought at the same time in April 2020 from the same store. We spent $10k on Bosch appliances and have been very let down by this product. Seems like maybe they need to issue a recall based on the horrible reviews.

This microwave does everything and is by far the fastest heating microwave we have ever owned. 30 seconds gets most stuff hot, frozen stuff in 3 to 4 minutes is beyond hot. We are still getting used to the timings, but we love this microwave and would recommend this microwave.

We were encouraged to buy this speed oven when we bought a new home. I wanted a microwave, but didn't want it on the counter, and I wanted a second oven... This, in theory, was a good solution. But we have never been happy with the microwave. First of all, the height of installation above a regular oven and the design of the door opening down toward you, it's impossible to reach inside to clean it, especially the back wall. No way. And I'm not short. As for performance, it's not very powerful. It takes much longer than you would expect to heat/reheat things. And I find it totally odd that when we cook bacon in it, the entire oven fills with condensation, and I mean A LOT of condensation. I have to wipe down the door and the walls (that I can reach). I can't begin to explain it. Other foods also generate SOME condensation, but nothing like when we cook bacon. As for the "speed oven" part, I simply can't figure it out. It seems everything is driven by presets. If there is a way to just turn it on and ask it to heat to a specific temp, I haven't figured it out.
NOW, after 4 years, we thought it had died. After running a minute or two, it stopped and the display panel went dark. After a while, the clock came back on. Tried again. And again, it stopped and went dark. This happened 5 or 6 times. Then today, I heated something for one minute, and it stayed on. So gitchy. Clearly not reliable at this point, and I have no idea if I need to replace the motherboard or replace the entire appliance. I'm not inclined to pay for a service call. Hoping maybe Bosch will read this and reply with some answers... either a complimentary repair, or a discount on a more powerful microwave that fits in the same space!

We purchased a $4,000 + wall oven microwave combo unit in 2020. Had it repaired in 2021 (less than a year old) and called for repair again In November. The Lowes service repair center was unable to find a company to come repair it as we live in rural Amador County in California. We were eventually told that Lowes was "buying out" our appliance and we would have to purchase a new one... WE Will NEVER BUY ANOTHER BOSCH Appliance AGAIN. If we can't get service we will buy Kitchenaid or something else!

We purchased Bosch because we expected the top quality. Howeve the microwave was having issue right from the start. First the display got dimmed but still it was working. Next the door spring on the left side broke down, we replaced it. Then the same happened on the right side. And finally it died on us yesterday. We also have a cooktop from Bosch where we had to replace 3 out of 5 igniters. I don't think we will consider Bosch as our future appliances provider.

We've had nothing but problems with this microwave since we've had it installed. You would think since it is a hight end poduct it would last for years instead of months. Trying to get customer service is another issue. Twice we've had no show, only to have to reschedule. And no the first "no show" was not during Covid.

We have the Model 800 (HMC80251UC/01) and the display went dim for about 4 yrs. It is finally unreadable. Turntable fully stopped working about a year ago. Before, it was intermittently stopping. I can't believe I paid all this money for this. I would be better off with a $100 Walmart special microwave. And Bosch is not making any effort to remedy the issue. They don't even have a replacement part for this. So their service people helpless as well. This was part of a bigger Bosch purchase (Matching oven, gas cooktop, dishwasher, chimney hood). The microwave tarnishes this Bosch brand. My advice is do NOT buy this microwave, in fact, do not buy any of teh 500 or 800 series products from Bosch.

I love the many options this oven has. I've always wanted a warming oven but didn't have room for the additional appliance, so this option is great. The only thing I don't like is the low sound of the timer. I've tried it on both low and high and it makes no difference. It's too quiet and I'm afraid I may miss the notification and burn some things.

Installed this speed oven in November, 2017 and it stopped working for the third time in 4 years. Not impressed to say the least! Looking at having at least $600 in repair costs whick is more than a third of the purchase price. Bosch should be offering replacement Speed ovens with higher quality door switch's to the consumers who thought they were purchasing a higher quality oven. I really like the oven's features but the lack of reliability trumps this. Bosch, do the right thing and reengineer the oven's equipment as the total lack of reliability is a stain on your name! (And replace the ovens with the reengineered model!)

We have the oven and microwave combo and the microwave has stopped working 3 or 4 times since it was installed at our new house in 2018. Now we call the 800 # to schedule service and they tell us to call back as they are too busy. The website to book an appointment has also been down. Please help!

This Bosch replaced a GE Microwave, that I had for 20 years... with no problems!! 2 years of owning this it broke!! It doesn't work!! Called Bosh Repair, the only appointment they had available was in 3 weeks, so I took it! 3 weeks came and they were a NO-SHOW!! I had to call them to find out they were not coming, and the only time they had for a tech to come out was in 3 weeks... UPSET to say the least!! Spending all that money for a BOSCH, and it breaks, and takes over 2 months to come and fix it!! STILL WAITING!! FYI SUBZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE BEST!!

I have had several Bosch Appliances over the years. The 800 microwave/oven combination is terrible. The microwave has been broken twice with less than 2 years of ownership. The cost for the initial repair was close to $500 through Sears (door hinge came loose). The second time it broke, I contacted bosch appliance repair and they did not come to repair it but rather said that multiple parts required to be ordered to fix it. I urge to to consider a different brand.

The unit operates just fine, but it takes longer to heat items in the microwave compared to microwaves I've had in the past. We purchased it thinking it operated as a full, albeit small oven too. But have since realized it is a small broiler too, and not a baking oven. The heat comes from the top only. Our bad for not reading the fine print.

We have had nothing but problems with this speed oven. We purchased this in November of 2016 and have had to have it repaired at least 10 times since then. There is something wrong with the door that makes it short out, losing all power until we have it fixed. We have gone months at a time waiting for repair people and parts. This is a known issue if you read the reviews, but we have not been able to find anyone who can properly repair it. It keeps happening over and over again. Very frustrating for such an expensive appliance. I wish I could give it a zero star rating.

I'd never buy this product again. Leaving aside the quality issues for a minute: the display is difficult to read, it is less powerful than the the $89 Hamilton-Beach microwave I had to buy because Bosch service technicians have failed to repair it after 3 service calls.(and 1 service no show). Did I mention it is impossible for my wife to clean it without a step-stool? The only positive is that it looks good mounted above my Bosch 800 wall oven.
