Dead washer after less than 20 washes

Purchased two of these for a lake house. They have been installed for under 2 years and have probably been used 15-20 times max. One of the washers stopped working. No power to the unit. The dryer is getting power but the washer on the bottom is not. Was working one day and dead as a door nail the next day. Now I need to pay the installing company $250+ just to come out to look at the unit. Not very good for a product that costs $2000+. Only providing a 12 month warranty is a joke

The products require extra maintenance. The top ice maker requires chopping the ice at least 3 times a week the water filter assembly required replacement the washing machine requires the most maintenance with draining the system often otherwise the drainage water starts to smell Never had these issues with similar products from other manufacturers Purchased a service contract with direct LG another problem to get LG service rep

Adds about one quart of water the whole wash cycle I use very little soap. One tablespoon ..and the soap never comes out. I add 3 extra rinses and it still has soap in it. No matter the size of the load

I am very happy with the operation aspect of this product. In addition it enhances my laundry room. Washer/dryer operations are quick and efficient. In addition since it is a wash tower the placement of operation buttons is perfect. I am not vertically challenged with their placement.

Beware - Dryer Leaves Mark on Clothing/Linens

The venting grille in the back right of the dryer is very rusty and has been leaving an imprint on my clothing/linens/socks/underwear. It even melted one of my socks. Please see attached photos. This started happening within the first 6 months of my owning the WashTower. When I spoke with LG at the time they did not have anyone available in my area to service it but they said that I must be using too high of a heat setting. If the unit cannot handle a certain heat setting then it should not be an option. At the time I had other things going on and dropped the issue since there was no one available to do the repair. At this point though it has gotten worse and has been damaging my clothing/linens more frequently to the point that I am afraid to dry anything in it. I put my most sensitive articles of clothing in dryer bags to minimize the chance that they are in contact with the grille however doing so leaves them wrinkled. I have contacted LG and was willing to pay for the grille to be replaced. That was in October it is now the end of December Four service calls later it has still not been replaced. The service company that LG has been using does not seem properly equipped to handle the job or they simply do not want to do it. During the last service call the technician who came alone said he could not access the back of the machine which was necessary to replace the grille. He said he would come back with someone else and that they might have to break the drain pan underneath in order to get the unit out of the closet. As this was the 4th time he had come over I would think that he would have come prepared with the tools and manpower needed to do the job. After that last visit though the service company called me several days later and told me that they would be unable to do the repair unless I hired a professional installer to disassemble the machine and take it out of the closet. I had already paid LG $379 which they charged to my credit card without actually performing the service and now they wanted me to hire another company to come twice - once before the repair and once after the repair - to disassemble and re-assembly the unit. I tried going to Home Depot to find an installer. Home Depot was confused as to why the certified LG technicians could not handle the job. In the meantime I had been trying to get in touch with a supervisor at LG. It took two weeks and a complaint that I filed with the Better Business Bureau in order to get a response from Cynthia. Cynthia offered me two options which were not actually options. She said they could refund me the money I was charged - which is something they would have had to do because they charged me for a part I was not given and a service that was not completed. The other option was for me to hire a professional installer prior to the certified LG technician coming out this was not an option as this is what was requested from the service company. I asked to be compensated for all of the damage that the dryer did to my clothing and linens. I was declined. I asked for a new dryer - as Cynthia told me that they did have people to install new appliances but not to take apart old ones in order to repair them. Cynthia declined because she said that this WashTower is now three years old. I explained that the issue began within the first year and that she could go back to my Live Chat history to see my exchange and the photo I shared at that time. No concessions were made. When I asked to speak with her supervisor she said that there is no one above her which is obviously not true because she is not the CEO of LG. The bottom line is that LG has manufactured a defective dryer one that damages the items it is supposed to be gently drying. The venting grille should be made of stainless steel. And while this is no fault of my own I have had to jump through hoops to get it resolved which does not even seem likely. I should not have to spend an exorbitant amount of time and money to get a machine fixed that is inherently defective. In reading reviews across the internet I have realized that I am not alone. This is unethical and a change must be made to the product. In the meantime I deserve full service or a replacement dryer in addition to monetary compensation for the items that the dryer has damaged. If not I will continue to escalate the issue until this is handled fairly.

Worst customer service

I was in the middle of a kitchen remodel including laundry room. Washtower came in boxed up and was in the garage. When I opened the box. The washtower had a dent in the top left side. I called customer service and they said it wasnt their problem and then hung up on me. I called back and they accused me of damaging it. Worst customer service ever. I will never buy another LG product

Bought this new and was very excited yo not have the standard apartment sized crappy unit. Worked great for 3 years aside from staying connected to the wifi then suddenly the GAS error code co.es on and it wont dry. Scheduled with LG support and they sent out a tech who charged me $85 to say he couldnt look at it til the gas company came out. LG support could have asked ot mentioned this. Had Gas Company co.e out nothing wrong g on that end. All connections and supply are fine. Its internal. OK...Co tatted LG support again. They say they absolutely cant send anyone e til I send proof of proffesional vent cleaning. OK? Wasnt asked this initially either so why now?. Vents cleaned. Still error code. Im pretty frustrated. Its a beautiful machine that has been kept clean and maintained. I wish support was actually worthy of the name instead of jist giving you the runaround after such an investment.

I bought this 8 months ago and it has been broken for the last 2 months. The main board is bad and not suppling voltage to gas valves. So no heat. LG is trying to fix it. I have had to call them many times. They are trying though. Getting GAS error.

Ordered on the 16th June Delivery scheduled for the 28th June 10th July 17th July 22nd July... no delivery LG customer support cannot help if the delivery company do nothing... and they cannot cancel the order until the delivery company respond... so no response = no item and no cancellation. This is by far the worst order I have ever made.

They have the a responsibility to ensure to the customer that what they buy is handled and installed correctly. We trusted the manufacturer never again... The manufacturer has to exercise control how their products are delivered and installed. These products are complex and Require attention to be installed correctly.

Its frustrating that LG makes this pacesaving unit center control unit without the foresight to give flexibility to reverse the washing machine door. GE and Electrolux have reversible washer doors but LG is behind the times. Many people online as asking for this but LG is non-responsive to the ask. My laundry room configuration is set and thats why I need a stacking unit in the first place....but need hinges on the right for both dryer and washer. This seems so basic to give people this flexibility rather than pushing them to GE for any right-wall configured rooms.

I wish I had more positive things to say about this I looked at so many reviews before purchasing and I feel like there are some issues with this machine that arent conveyed in many other reviews so wanted to share this warning with others. - the cycle options are quite limited - if you want different ones you have to download an app which is annoying. it also was quite difficult to actually connect the app to the machine and im a tech savvy person. also the app cant actually start the cycle so you have to turn it ON on the unit go to your phone and select a cycle then go back to the unit to actually start the cycle. super poor user experience in my opinion... why cant i just select all of cycles on the machine itself? - hand wash / delicate cycle is nottttt gentle. i had an item that i washed in my previous LGwasher on the delicate cycle with no issues but when i put it through this machine it came out all chewed up. veryyyyy dissapointing and considering an older lg model didnt have the same issue feels inexcusable. -dryer DOES NOT WORK WELL this is probably the toughest. the dryer sensors are all janky and dont accurately tell when clothes are dry so every single cycle comes out still wet. i spend countless hours with LG support and had technicians come out multiple times.... all for them to tell me that the dryer doesnt work well because i live in an apartment? that seems like a glaring issue i even heard them on the phone saying many customers complain about this they claim that the venting is too long so unless your setup vents directly to the outside and doesnt follow any internal routes youre basically SOL. super frustrating because my previous LG dryer which was 15 years old in the same apartment never had this problem. also it seems crazy that a washtower unit which feels made for apartments due to its slim and stacked nature does not dry appropriately in apartments at all? honestly im pretty bummed that this new fancy washer has so many issues when my previous washer dryer from LG which was 15 years old didnt have any of these issues. its like they tried to be fancy and say hollow BS like ai and just ended up making the product worse. LG emailed me and said if i submitted a review i had the chance to win $500. its highly unlikely ill win that $500 but heres hoping i do and i can use it to go towards another unit that isnt as disappointing. note: i did pay full price for this i did not receive any discounts or incentives other than being asked to write the review.

I bought this washer/dryer a while ago but didnt get it all set up until December 2023 and I love it. I am in an apartment and it is perfect for this space. It has worked out very well for me. I am so happy with this purchase and will definitely recommend it .

Ive never had a stacked unit before. I enjoy all of the features both physically on the control panel and on the app. My biggest complaint is having to lift all of the wet clothes up into the dryer. I think Id rather lower the wet clothes into the dryer.

Hello I purchased this product about a year ago and so far its been ok. My main concerns are the dryer doesnt seem to dry completely after any buildup occurs that would block air flow and lessen the ventilation cubic feet specs. Im working on a solution for this by changing the fixtures that is mounted to a roof that the hot air escapes from. My primary concern is that I have this unit mounted on a FOX steel dolly to keep it on wheels so I can move it around if i need to easily with just myself. Unfortunately its challenging to get the unit to not shake and tremble when it starts its spin cycle. Have you ever considered elevating the unit with some cargo straps that would support it from the bottom but be mounted above the unit basically suspending it in mid air? I believe by doing this it will eliminate the rocking and shaking. Its that or building a mini platform like they built skyscrapers on to resist earthquakes.

We were a little worried about the touch controls and if we would have trouble figuring it out. We are older but LG made it very easy to understand. After the first wash and dry we were experts on using and understanding the controls. We also like how fast a normal wash takes compared to our old Bosch. After 2 weeks we really like the LG Washtower. Thanks for a great product.

This is a great washer/dryer combo. My biggest concern was that it would shake all lover but it barely moves even when the washer is in a spin cycle.Very quiet when running. This unit looks so nice I wanted to put in the living room but my wife said no the laundry room is better we all know who won

I originally saw this in the store and then purchased on line. I do not recommend buying on line. I had an issue with the door to dryer opening wrong way which is available but now they say they Home Depot cant do it. Now I have to call LG. Big hassle
