Adding a new fuel-type offering to the existing gas and electric radiant downdraft lineup, this new induction cooktop brings even more features and offerings. The JennAir® NextGen Induction Downdraft Cooktop is available in both 30-inch and 36-inch Oblivion Glass Design and can be installed flush or slightly above the countertop.
Cooktops require 12-inch clearance on each side and 19 inches to upper cabinets and shelves, allowing for unobstructed backsplashes, more kitchen space and statement lighting. The slim profile offers more storage and the opportunity for floating islands.
INFINITE DESIGN POTENTIAL
Unlock new horizons in design with the new JennAir® NextGen Induction Downdraft Cooktop. This cooktop comes with a variety of features and benefits, with an emphasis on infinite design potential.
Downdraft ventilation allows you to explore multiple options when designing your kitchen. With no bulky updraft hood, you can explore open concept designs by adding a kitchen island or peninsula. Or, add in statement lighting or additional cabinetry and shelving that can take the place of an updraft hood.
POWERFUL AND EFFECTIVE EXTRACTION
Choose between two venting options: exterior ventilation or recirculation with a charcoal filter accessory. Both venting options draw odors and steam away five times faster than the steam can rise
The extractor cover, stainless steel grease filter and cover flap on the exterior extraction venting system are dishwasher-safe for easy cleanup, while recirculating models have an easily accessible charcoal filter that should be replaced yearly.
CLEAN, FRESH AIR THAT'S QUIETER THAN A HOOD
Help prevent steam, grease and odors from spreading in the kitchen with a 345 CFM downdraft system and features like Automatic Extraction and Automatic After-Run, which automatically remove cooking odors and residual humidity before and after cooking. Sound-reducing technology helps minimize the noise of the ventilation system, which runs as low as 30 dBA.
MORE SPACE TO HANDLE LARGER POTS AND PANS
The JennAir brand exclusive feature offers automatic bridging to handle larger pots and pans or even full-sized griddles, with one Flex-Choice™ XL and two round induction cooking zones on the 30-inch cooktop and two Flex-Choice™ XL induction cooking zones on the 36-inch cooktop.
INTUITIVE COOKTOP OPERATION
A vertical slider allows you to operate the cooktop by intuitively swiping your finger up or down or tapping the controls. Important functions, such as Cookware Auto-Detection, Automatic Bridge Function and Assisted Cooking, can be accessed by a single touch.
With Cookware Auto-Detection, sensors automatically detect which cooking zone you are using, lighting up controls for easy access. If you need an expanded zone for larger cookware, the Automatic Bridge Function uses sensors to detect when a griddle or large pan is in use and modifies the controls, allowing you to combine two adjoining cooking zones into one large area. Plus, get optimal power levels to boil, simmer or melt any dish with Assisted Cooking.
